Online Store Hiatus

Many have been asking about our online store and we have to sincerely apologise for the delay in making our items available online. We have been pretty busy with the bazaars leading up to Christmas lately and would like to take this opportunity to say that we are sorry for making all of you wait :(

However, since our last bazaar for year 2013 (yup, a year has just gone by like that...) has ended yesterday, we will now dedicate all our time to getting our store online (and in the meantime, creating more intrinsic accessories for you)!

So please please bear with us just a bit longer and we will work hard to show you something special. Meanwhile, please get your friends, colleagues, relatives, love ones etc to like our facebook page HERE

Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays!!

TGIF!

A very good morning to all of u :)

We apologise for not updating our blog these last few weeks. So we are making it up to you by announcing that we will be in Rock 4 Rights 2 this coming Saturday!

So what is this Rock 4 Rights 2? I have copy and paste the relevant parts from www.perlembagaanku.com:-

WHAT
What is Rock 4 Rights?
‘Rock 4 Rights’ (R4R) music festival was organised in April 2011 at Fort Cornwallis, Penang as a platform to officiate the last phase of the MyConstitution campaign, the emphasis being on elections and democracy. It was jointly organised by the non-governmental organisations of Frinjan and Saya Anak Bangsa Malaysia (SABM) together with the Committee. It managed to attract a 2,000- strong crowd throughout the 12-hour long festival.

What is Rock 4 Rights 2?
With the success of R4R, the Committee decided to organise a second installment of the music festival. After a series of talks with KDU University College through its Law Department, KDU University College together with Frinjan has agreed to co-organise the second R4R (R4R2) with the Committee.
R4R2 will comprise the following components:-
  1. Vendors helming booths within the bazaar cum flea market, selling food and beverage, clothes, jewellery and an assortment of arts and craft items. It has been proposed that a portion of the proceeds from the rental of the canopy space be donated to a children’s charitable home to be identified mutually;
  2. Non-governmental organisation booths providing access and information to the public to assist and expand their understanding on issues or to provide avenues of recourse within the public sphere;
  3. A small stage in the lecture hall of the Campus for smaller, more intimate acts such as acoustic or niche performers. This will also include a performing arts component for theatre works and street performances; and
  4. The focus event will be at the main stage, which will host independent bands from the local music scene.
WHY
The theme for R4R2 is “Associate. Assemble. Articulate”. It encapsulates the rights enshrined in Article 10 of the Federal Constitution. Article 10 guarantees the following:
i)            Freedom of speech and expression;
ii)           Right to peacefully assemble; and
iii)          Freedom of association.
We have seen many music festivals and concerts before this. Some with an underlying message, while others are simply about music. With R4R2, we hope to convey our message of constitutional awareness and appreciation of human rights through the most universal of languages; the medium of music. Music is the most effective medium to attract youths to the notion of constitutionalism, rights and democratic governance. Music itself is a form of expression, guaranteed and protected by the highest law of the land, the Federal Constitution. Thus, the marriage of rights and music is novel yet natural.
The objectives of R4R2 are:
  1. To foster appreciation and awareness of the Federal Constitution and human rights so that the youths of Malaysia may associate with them;
  2. To assemble a gathering of constitutional appreciation and expression; and
  3. To facilitate an environment where they may articulate their thoughts in line with the constitutional guarantee of freedom speech and expression.

WHEN & WHERE
Date                :           19 January 2013
Venue              :           KDU College, Section 13 Campus, Petaling Jaya.
Time                :           3.00pm until 11.00pm

WHO
Who should come?
Everyone should understand and appreciate the Constitution. However, with R4R2, particular emphasis will be placed on attracting youths to the festival, particularly those studying in public and private universities. These youths are able to identify with the acts in R4R2 and they will be attracted to the wares on display at the booths. Our promotion and publicity will focus on these youths and we expect around 5,000 attendees to R4R2 mainly made out of youths between the age of 18 and 30. Despite the focus on youths, the festival is open to persons of all ages.
